Who we are

A place where girls can begin again.

Founded by Rose Stuart Phiri, Ufulu Girls Foundation is a registered nonprofit working in Kasungu, Malawi. It supports girls whose education was interrupted by early marriage, teenage pregnancy, poverty or other difficult circumstances.

“Ufulu” means freedom in Chichewa. For us, freedom means the chance to learn, make informed choices, become self-reliant and shape a future without being limited by yesterday.
